After working closely with project owner, CNOOC Yuedong LNG, Trelleborg was chosen to supply the project's LNG terminal with a fully integrated large-scale LNG mooring and transfer system thanks to its ability to provide an industry leading range of products, systems integration and end-to-end support.

The range of equipment supplied by Trelleborg includes Double and Triple Quick Release Hooks with hazardous area compliance, SmartHook  Mooring Load Monitoring Systems with electric remote release, a SmartDock  Docking Aid System, a Central Integrated Monitoring System, Environmental and Oceanographic Monitoring System and a Trelleborg SeaTechnik Fibre Optic Ship Shore Link.

Trelleborg will also supply a Portable Handheld Unit (PHU) for dual berth installation and a Carry On Board (COB) laptop system for single berth installation.

The Trelleborg SeaTechnik SSL shore system ensures Yeudong LNG's compatibility with the majority of the world's LNGC fleet, helping to maximize the gas trading benefits of their assets in this competitive market.

The selection of the Trelleborg SeaTechnik SSL system for this project brings the total number of terminal installations in China to thirteen further enhancing Trelleborg's position as a technical and market leader in the LNG Cargo Transfer sector.  It also maintains the company's on-going record of securing the contract to supply a Trelleborg Seatechnik SSL to every Chinese LNG terminal that has ever been built.

Trelleborg will provide equipment testing, witnessed by the client at Trelleborg's Melbourne office. Load testing on the Quick Release Hooks will be witnessed by independent third party Lloyd's Register. A day's training will also be provided to the client to ensure the operational efficiency of the products.

The new 10.3billion yuan project is located in southeast China's Guangdong province. The project consists of the development of a new LNG terminal, LNG station, wharfs and pipelines; and is designed to have an annual processing capacity of two million metric tonnes.
