The annual import volume of China–Kazakhstan oil pipeline, China's first transnational crude oil pipeline, hit a new high in 2011, with a total import volume of 10.93 megatons, up 10.3 percent compared with last year.
Since the China–Kazakhstan oil pipeline started commercial operation in July, 2006, the import volume of the pipeline has increased 20 percent annually.
As of last December, the total delivery volume had exceeded 40 megatons, equivalent to the annual output of Daqing Oilfield.
