The Sebei gas field in China’s Qaidam Basin – the country’s fourth-largest onshore gas field – had produced 2.1 billion cubic metres this year as of 26 May.
The average output per well came to 29,600 cubic metres per day during that period.
Sebei is a secondary source of supply for the West-East Pipeline and has proven gas reserves of 287.88 bcm.
It has a production capacity of 10.68 bcm/y and its output has averaged 5.82 bcm/y over the past 20 years.
