China is a key market for Scotland’s oil and gas sector both for international trade and inward investment with Sinopec, PetroChina and CNOOC making significant investment in the North Sea and the Grangemouth Refinery. As such, cippe offers us a great platform to showcase Scotland’s world class skills and expertise and provides companies the chance to make new connections and business opportunities.
The Scottish trade theme for cippe centres on Subsea, O&G training, Environmental Services and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) all requirements of the Chinese O&G industry. For investment, Scotland aims to be a top 5 Global location for innovation and technology, and this event very much taps into Scotland’s key strengths in areas like subsea and asset integrity. Scotland welcomes innovation collaboration and partnership.
Scottish Development International is organising 15 Scottish companies exhibiting on the Scotland Pavilion in cippe (Stand No: W2728/W2732) – the biggest ever Scottish oil and gas mission to such an exhibition in China, which is a strong reflection of the value and importance our companies put on growing their international activity and the importance of the China as a market.
Scotland is a global hub for oil and gas activity built up over 50 years in some of the most demanding environments in the world – the North Sea. As such, we have a strong line-up of companies on the Scotland pavilion this year, demonstrating our global sectoral expertise in areas such as O&G subsea technologies, education and training, environmental protection, carbon capture and storage. During the cippe, we will also organise a Scottish oil and gas workshop in CIPPE function room (Function Room W101) on the afternoon of 29 March.
