China's Zhenhai Refining & Chemical plans to shut its 250,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) line in eastern China's Zhejiang province on 10 April, a company source said on Monday.
The turnaround will last for about 1 month.
The company will continue running its other 300,000 tonne/year PP line at the same site, the source added.
Local distributors said the shutdown is likely to cause tight supply of the material in the local market as Zhenhai Refining and Chemical is one of the major producers in eastern China.
